The 涩涩影视 (涩涩影视) Board of Education has appointed Andrew Spain to fill the vacant District E seat following a vote during its special meeting on Tuesday, June 17.
Spain, a longtime 涩涩影视 resident and graduate of Fort Collins High School, was selected from a pool of qualified applicants after a public application and interview process. He will serve through the next regular biennial school election on Nov. 4, 2025, when voters will elect a representative to serve a full term.
Spain brings leadership experience in education, healthcare, and nonprofit sectors. He currently serves as associate executive director for the Society for Simulation in Healthcare. He holds a Ph.D. in educational leadership and policy analysis as well as a master’s degree in political science, both from the University of Missouri. He has also worked as a licensed paramedic and as director of the EMS Education Program at the University of Missouri. Most recently, he taught Global Issues courses in the Political Science Department at the University of Northern Colorado.
He and his wife, Beth—both 涩涩影视 graduates—live in Wellington and have seven children between the ages of 16 and 32.
District E includes the northern region of 涩涩影视. The seat was previously held by Carolyn Reed, who resigned effective May 27, 2025, after serving on the board since 2015.
